The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences expanding in influence within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering an extensive roster, it was evident from the outset that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

Per the DM, the Soldiers table is for players who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 demonstrate why these five characters are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the group understands precisely where to go next after a intense first encounter with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • The adventurer knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule the setting for a multiple motives, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in quest for Casimir.

Future Episodes

From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which adventurers will be where in the season’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
